ABOUT
Books (especially library books) carry the traces of their readers. We love books that are experiences, that accrue meaning through use and that bend our expectations of what a book might be.
The bending library is a publishing project and lending library conceived by anna gray + ryan wilson paulsen. It was born of quarantine, when we craved physical, unmediated art experiences and intimate venues in which to have them.
In response, we started the bending library to make small editions of artists' books and circulate them to readers using a lending library model, where books are delivered directly to readers' homes for 3-week checkouts.
